Based on the memorandum signed between the LEPL Healthcare Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Academician Guliko Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center, the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and their family members are undergoing cardiological examinations and provided with consultations. The purpose of examinations is to take measures to prevent cardiovascular disease.
Preventive cardiological examinations are carried out for police officers employed in Tbilisi and regions as well as for their family members. Medical examinations are conducted by the mobile groups of Academician Guliko Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center.
A memorandum between the Cardiology Center and the LEPL Healthcare Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was signed in 2019. On the basis of the memorandum, within the last two years, up to 3000 employees of the Ministry underwent cardiological examinations in the capital and regions of the country.
